Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy located in Southeast Asia occupying the Malaysian Peninsula and part of the island of Borneo. It consists of thirteen states and three federal territories. Malaysia has a multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multilingual society. Many cultures from within the country and from surrounding regions have greatly influenced the culture, arts, and cuisine. The sprawling capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers including the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers.
