KAT-TUN PROFILE

KAT-TUN (カトゥーン) is a Japanese boy band formed by Johnny & Associates (Johnny's) in 2001. The group's name is an acronym that was exclusively based on the first letter of each member's family name:

Kazuya Kamenashi

Jin Akanishi

Junnosuke Taguchi

Koki Tanaka

Tatsuya Ueda

Yuichi Nakamatu

In 2010 Akanishi left the group to start a solo career and in 2013, Tanaka's contract was terminated for several violations, leaving KAT-TUN as a four-man ensemble. In 2015, KAT-TUN's Junnosuke Taguchi surprise announcement on live TV for leaving group. Although his time with KAT-TUN is coming to an end, Taguchi has promised to continue working hard as a member of the group until he officially leaves. An exact date for his departure has not been set. According to various reports, it is believed that Taguchi is leaving KAT-TUN in order to date freely. The idol is rumored to have been dating actress Rena Komine in secret for the past 8 years. Hwah..again..really sad for it -_-
